Abstract
Light induced remanent changes in magnetization of n-type Cd1-xMnxTe ( x = 0.01, 0.05) single crystals have been measured at T = 2 and 5 K an d in magnetic fields of up 0.5 T. The effect observed gradually satura tes with increasing magnetic field. It also correlates with Light indu ced increase in shallow donor concentration measured on the same sampl es. The bound magnetic polaron theory accounts for the temperature and magnetic field variations of the persistent magnetization. There are no fitting parameters.
