Abstract
The reaction of C5H5CH2CH2CH2NHMe with [W(NBut)(2)-(NHBut)(2)] proceed ed in a two-step fashion to give the formally 22-electron complex [W(N But)(2)(eta(5),sigma-C5H4CH2CH3NMe)]; the reaction of Li-2[C5H4CH2CH2C H2NMe] with [Mo(NBut)(2)Cl-2(dme)] (dme = 1,2-dimethoxyethane) or [Zr( eta-C5H5)(2)Cl-2] gave [Mo(NBut)(2)(eta(5),sigma-C5H4CH2CH2CH2NMe)] or [Zr(eta-C5H5)Cl(eta(5):sigma-C5H4CH2CH2CH2NMe)] respectively.
