Abstract
This paper presents the state-of-the-art in appliance technology using fuzzy set theory. Twelve consumer appliances currently in the world m arket will be discussed. Different models/manufacturers of each applia nce will be compared and analysed where appropriate. Analysis criterio n consists of cost, ease of use, efficiency, and advantages over conve ntional products. A chart of fuzzy-logic appliances will summarise the se developments.
