Abstract
The two-step reaction of the C.I. Reactive Red 120 (RR120) production was monitoring by thin-layer chromatography with densitometry. The obt ained intermediate C.I. Reactive Red 1 (RR1), hydrolized by-products a nd final product RR120 were separated and quantificated. The productio n costs and the pollution of wastewater were significantly decreased b y optimization of the RR120 process.
