We report a case of acute myeloid leukaemia presenting as a mammograph
ically detected breast lump. Successful treatment of her leukaemia res
ulted in complete resolution of the breast lesion. One year after init
ial diagnosis she was noted to have a recurrence of the breast lesion
at the same site, She underwent wide local surgical excision and histo
logy confirmed primary mucinous adenocarcinoma of the breast.
