Abstract
Postirradiation sarcoma (PIS), while still uncommon, is a complication that is appearing more frequently as the number of long-term survivor s increases. In this study, two cases of radiation-induced sarcoma of the breast were observed in patients treated for breast cancer with lu mpectomy and postoperative radiation therapy. They had been cured of t heir primary malignancies.
