Abstract
Photon drag current caused by the spin-flip transitions of electrons i n asymmetric heterostructures is calculated. Induced current is not pa rallel to the longitudinal photon wave vector, q(parallel to), because the contribution of [q(parallel to) x V-s] (Vs is the characteristic spin velocity along the normal to PD-layer) is essential in the intera ction matrix element. Both spectral and angular dependencies of curren t are discussed for the short-range scattering case. Numerical estimat es for typical heterostructure parameters and intense THz pump are pre sented.
