Vi. Pipa et al., ENERGY RELAXATION OF 2D-ELECTRONS DUE TO NEAR-SURFACE ACOUSTIC-PHONONSCATTERING, Physica status solidi. b, Basic research, 204(1), 1997, pp. 234-237
The calculations of free and rigid surface effects on the energy losse
s for 2D-electrons in a semi-infinite heterostructure are carried out
for the deformation Electron-acoustic phonon interaction. It is shown
that the efficiency of relaxation is changed substantially (up to two
times) depending non-monotonically on the distance of the 2D-layer to
the surface and on the electron temperature.
