Abstract
This paper discusses features of using a laser Doppler velocimeter to measure the mobility of suspended particles. It shows that, under defi nite conditions, it is possible to record rather small (10(-3) mu m) v ibrational amplitudes of particles in the field of a harmonic external force, and this allows one to determine the corresponding characteris tics of these particles.
