Abstract
This paper presents the results of studies of the effect of cryogenic temperatures on the main optical characteristics of four forms of crys tals in the IR region. The calculational-experimental method is used t o obtain the dependences of the refractive index, mean dispersion, and total and spectral transmittance of the samples on temperature in the range 80-300 K. The results can be used in calculating the thermal ab errations of optical systems. (C) 1997 The Optical Society of America.
