Abstract
We have performed magnetoresistance measurements along the least condu cting c direction in (TMTSF)(2)ClO4 under 6 kbar pressure while the ma gnetic field was rotated in the be plane. Here 6 kbar is sufficient to suppress the (0,1/2,0) ordering transition observed at ambient pressu re. Comparison with similar experiments on anion-ordered (TMTSF)(2)ClO 4 and with (TMTSF)(2)PF6 allow the following conclusions: The periodic ity is ill defined in the b but not the c direction in the presence of anion disorder, the disorder has a small to negligible effect on the scattering rate along c, and the anion ordering is not responsible for previously observed differences in angular-dependent magnetoresistanc e in these sister salts.
