The temperature dependence of an adsorption of a 1-hydroxyadamantane c
ondensed layer at 20-80 degrees C on the mercury electrode in solution
s of Na2SO4 and NaF is analyzed with the aid of a relationship connect
ing the shift of the adsorption-desorption potential with adsorption p
arameters of the surface active organic substance (SAOS), its concentr
ation, and the temperature (the relationship was derived earlier on th
e basis of the Frumkin adsorption model), The magnitude of the desorpt
ion potential is found to be related to adsorption parameters of SAOS
and the changes in some of them with the temperature. It is shown that
, in concentrated supporting electrolyte solutions, the weakening of t
he salting-out effect of electrolytes occurring with the growing tempe
rature should be taken into account.
