The reduction kinetics of the rhodium(III) oxalate complexes is studie
d in a sodium sulfate supporting electrolyte by the polarography, cycl
ic voltammetry (CVA), and coulometry methods. A three-electron reducti
on of the rhodium(III) complexes is shown to occur with the slow attac
hment of the first electron complicated by discharge of the hydroxoniu
m ions.
