REAL-TIME VALIDATION OF ONLINE MEASUREMENTS UTILIZING INTERNAL STANDARD INTRODUCTION

Validation of analyzer performance in real time has become desirable a nd sometimes necessary. The use of a real time internal standard for r eference to a periodic calibration-benchmark can produce valuable conf idence for those depending on the analyzer to make important decisions . Just as the temperature, pressure, and flow monitoring devices provi de an indication of external performance; the internal standard provid es an indication of the system internal performance. It evaluates the sample preparation and measurement devices for stability and repeatabi lity.
