Abstract
The X-ray crystal structure of the title material has been obtained. A symmetrical structure with the OCH3 groups essentially planar to the aromatic ring has been found. Chemical shift differences observed in t he solid-state C-13 cross polarization/magic angle spinning spectrum a re attributed to intermolecular crystal packing effects, resulting in an asymmetric unit of one molecule.
