Abstract
Nerthra praecipua, known previously from the holotype female, has been rediscovered in Chile. The species is redescribed, supplementing the incomplete original description of the damaged female holotype. This s pecies belongs to the Nerthra alaticollis group, which occurs in Austr alia and Chile.
