Abstract
An oriented single grain of a gamma/gamma' superalloy is deformed by d ynamic compression (12%, 20 degrees C) along [001]. Thin deformation t wins are observed for the first time in such a single grain using high resolution electron microscopy. They appear to develop more easily in gamma corridors between gamma' precipitates.
