Abstract
Full-scale field tests to determine the support provided by polymer ge ogrids in typical road construction over old coal mining areas were ca rried out under controlled conditions. The results are evaluated with the purpose of proposing a design approach for the materials used in t he trial tests. A number of analytical methods are defined and combine d to develop an appropriate design approach that matches the measured field results as closely as possible.
