Abstract
The purpose of this study was to begin validation of the Family Profil e Form, a 126-item self-report paper-and-pencil test derived from a cl assification of more than 2,000 structured enrichment (SE) exercises. This instrument was constructed to link evaluation of couples and fami lies with specific SE exercises. Reliability, discriminant, criterion, and concurrent validities with different samples of participants, cou ples, and individuals were found to be within acceptable limits of sta tistical significance, thus supporting the use of this instrument as a prescriptive link between evaluation and SE in preventive interventio ns with couples and families.
