Abstract
The title compound was synthesized in eight steps, starting from 6-ace tamido-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-benzopyran-4-one (6). The key steps involved are the regiospecific nitration of 6 and palladium(0)-catalyzed arylat ion of acrylic acid in aqueous media.
