Abstract
The initial accomplishments of behavior therapy may have been the easi est part of our task in alleviating those aspects of human suffering w ith which the field is concerned. Comments on Hayes' (1997) illuminati ng paper are directed at underlining and clarifying the problems that may be encountered as the field moves forward into the next century, a nd providing some thoughts about possible solutions.
