Abstract
The paper presents the work performed within the European DRIVE II Pro ject EUROCOR (European Urban Corridor Control) in relation to modellin g and integrated control of the M8 Eastbound Corridor in Glasgow. The main intention of the study was not the design of new control strategi es but the investigation of the qualitative impact of various control measures such as ramp metering, route diversion via variable message s igns and signal control, and of their integration under realistic cond itions. To this end, several scenarios of included control measures we re investigated using the macroscopic modelling tool METACOR (Modele d 'Ecoulement du Trafic sur Coridor), demonstrating the issues and poten tial benefits arising from different levels of integration.
