Abstract
Alternatives to corticosteroids for the treatment of sarcoidosis are r eviewed. These include cytotoxic agents such as methotrexate, azathiop rine, and cyclophosphamide. In addition, agents such as hydroxychloroq uine and cyclosporine are reviewed. The efficacy, toxicity, and timing of these drugs in the management of sarcoidosis is discussed.
