Abstract
Decomposition of CH4 in mixtures with CO2 at 35-170 degrees C by a cor ona discharge under static conditions at atmospheric pressure was stud ied. The rate of CH4 degradation was shown to increase with temperatur e. The degradation rate also increases when stainless steel is replace d by noble metals or their alloys as the corona electrode material.
