Abstract
We investigated the influence of different buffers (Tris-buffer and ph
osphate buffered saline (PBS)/Tween-20 buffer) on anti-prothrombin ant
ibody (aPT) measurement by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA),
employing a gamma-ray-irradiated plate. We found considerable discrepa
ncies in aPT positivity between each buffer, and we suggest that the u
se of Tris-buffer is not suitable for aPT measurement with a gamma-ray
-irradiated plate to measure aPT. (C) 1996 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
