Collective gyromagnetic ratios g(R), microscopically calculated from H
artree-Fock plus BCS calculations using the SkM force, are found to b
e very different from the rough Z/A estimates. It is pointed out that
the latter disagree with the spectroscopic data in normally deformed s
tates of even-even nuclei. The consequences of taking into account mic
roscopic values of g(R) on the spectroscopic properties of odd superde
formed A=190 nuclei are discussed. Quenching factors, for proton and n
eutron g(s) ratios, are tentatively proposed. Single-particle assignme
nts postulated by experimentalists for the available data are confirme
d by our consistent approach.
