We have measured angular distributions and total cross sections for th
e reactions (d,p) and (d,alpha) to ail excited stales with positive e-
values on the nuclei Be-9, B-10, and B-11 between center of mass (c.m.
) energies of 57 and 139 keV, 67 and 141 keV, and 74 and 144 keV, resp
ectively, and the reaction (d,t) on the nucleus Be-9 to the Be-8 groun
d slate between c.m. energies of 57 and 139 keV, Astrophsyical S facto
rs for these reactions are derived from the total cross-section measur
ements, Some of the measured angular distributions are far from isotro
pic even at the lowest energies. This anisotropy is reproduced reasona
bly well by distorted-wave Born approximation calculations in which th
e distorting potentials are modified with an additional short-range te
rm.
