A hybrid model for baryons based on a dynamical interplay between rela
tivistic three-quark bound states and soliton configurations of mesons
is constructed. The Bethe-Salpeter equation for diquarks and the Fadd
eev equation for diquark-quark bound states in the background of a sol
iton are solved. The results show that baryons are very much like hybr
ids containing both solitonic meson clouds and three-quark correlation
s.
