Abstract
We present the case of a 28-yr-old woman with Fontan anastomosis under going elective sterilization. Because of concerns about laparoscopic s urgery with capnoperitoneum and positive-pressure ventilation, a mini- laparotomy was performed in microcatheter spinal anaesthesia. Tiration of small doses of plain bupivacaine 0.5% supplemented with 5 mu g suf entanil provided high cardiocirculatory and respiratory perioperative stability in this patient.
