Neutrino-nucleus elastic scattering is reduced in dense matter because
of correlations. The static structure factor for a plasma of electron
s and ions is calculated from Monte Carlo simulations and parametrized
with a least squares fit. Our results imply a large increase in the n
eutrino mean-free path. This impacts the trapping of neutrinos in a su
pernova by coherent neutral current interactions.
