The electrochemical behaviour of plasticised lithium-ion anode (i.e. g
raphite) and cathode (i.e. LiNiO2 and LiMn2O4) materials has been exam
ined in the solid state by using polymer electrolytes. The investigati
on has been carried out in order to evaluate the suitableness of these
materials for the fabrication of full plastic-like lithium-ion batter
ies. The results show that the response of the plsticised graphite ele
ctrode is strongly influenced by the conditions of the interface while
less puzzling appears the response of the lithium metal oxide electro
des.
