Abstract
When obtained in sulphuric acid medium sulphato-2-aminopyridine-pallad ium (II) complex has a polynuclear structure, with a bridging coordina tion of both the sulphate-group and 2-aminopyridine. The complex keeps its polynuclear structure in alkaline solution, in which the substitu tion of sulphate ions by hydroxylic groups yields hydroxo-2-aminopyrid ine-palladium (II). The compounds discussed are the main components of activators used in currentless metallization of non-conducting surfac es.
