T. Venyige et C. Sisak, HYDRODYNAMICAL STUDIES ON FLUIDIZED-BED BIOREACTOR BY HEAT PULSE ANEMOMETRY, Hungarian journal of industrial chemistry, 25(4), 1997, pp. 287-291
Owing to the need of a detailed description of flow patterns of liquid
-solid and liquid-gas-solid fluidized-bed systems, among them the flui
dized-bed bioreactors, the heat pulse anemometry as a time of flow mea
suring technique of local mixing behaviour of fluids was introduced. T
he theoretical base, and the experimental conditions of the applicatio
n, e.g. the effects of the measuring parameters as heating voltage, sw
eeping time and measuring time were explained. The fluidized bed biore
actor which has been built to perform the HPA measurements and the exp
erimental set was shown in details. An example for the evaluation proc
edure was set.
