Abstract
We have fabricated, using Jet Vapor Deposition, films of Pb doped rare -earth perovskite Mn oxides which show colossal magnetoresistance (CMR ) effect, We have achieved epitaxial CMR films at a high deposition ra te of typically 0.3 nm/s, uniformly over a large area. Films grown an LaAlO3 with a wide range of thickness (0.2-1.1 mu m) show epitaxial ch aracteristics. Scanning electron microscope analysis indicates that th e surface is smooth, The measured magnetization and magnetoresistance show comparable performance compared to similar CMR films made by othe r methods.
