Abstract
Previous studies have indicated that C/EBP alpha is involved in the re gulation of factor IX and mutations of a C/EBP recognition element in the factor IX promoter result in haemophilia B, We now report that mic e homozygous for the deletion of the c/ebp alpha gene are significantl y deficient in factor IX transcription.
