Abstract
The nematode Cardiofilaria pyrrhurae (males and females) was studied f rom the new host Pyrrhura picta, imported from Surinam to the Czech Re public. Compared with the original description, almost a full conformi ty of metrical features was found. The description of the taxon was co mpleted and made more precise by new data on morphology of the head en d and on number and distribution of caudal papillae. Comments on the s ystematics of this taxon are included.
