Abstract
In the structure of the title complex, {methyl cyclopentenedithiocarbo xylato-O,N,N',S}nickel(II), [Ni(C16H18N2OS2)], the Ni-II atom is coord inated by S, O and two N atoms in a nearly planar environment. The two inequivalent N atoms, coordinated in a cis manner, show virtually ide ntical bond lengths and angles indicating that the NS ligand fragment coordinates as a Schiff base ligand, with the N atom behaving as an im ine and the S atom having a strong thiolate character.
