The title compound, C20H10S, contains discrete molecules which are ess entially planar and are regularly stacked along the b axis [interplana r separation 3.474 (4) Angstrom]; columns are bridged by short S ... S interstack contacts of 3.506 (2) Angstrom about inversion centres.
