Abstract
Heptamethylenediamine, C7H18N2, molecules in the crystal structure are orientated parallel to the a axis and aggregate side to side in succe ssive layers parallel to the be plane. The bonds within the saturated chain show small variations in their length. Two weak intermolecular N -H ... N hydrogen bridges occur between the molecules of successive la yers.
