Synovial sarcoma is an uncommon fibroblastic soft tissue neoplasm, com
monly arising near, but not necessarily from, the synovium of joint ca
psules, bursae or tendon sheaths. The radiological diagnosis is diffic
ult. We present a case of synovial sarcoma studied with plain film rad
iography, CT, and pathology that had an unusual extensive calcificatio
n, which complicated its radiological diagnosis.
