Abstract
We demonstrate a simple technique of formation of high intensity colli mated X-ray beams. A parallel beam of X-rays was obtained using a tabl etop laser system and a spherical crystal mirror. The beam is characte rized by a high degree of collimation (divergence <1mrad divergence) a nd monochromaticity (Delta lambda/lambda = 7.6 . 10(-3)). The spectral range produced can be easily tuned using an adequate target material.
