Abstract
Microalbuminuria is a good predictor of cardiovascular risk in the gen eral population and in hypertensive and diabetic patients. This led us to investigate urinary albumin excretion in a subset of patients of I NSIGHT. Our results should indicate the prevalence of microalbuminuria in non-diabetic patients entering INSIGHT. We are also comparing the development of microalbuminuria with each of the two different therapi es under study.
