Abstract
The formation of polyelectrolyte type complex by the interaction betwe en ionic (anionic and cationic) surfactant and block copolymer in wate r was observed from viscosity measurements. Interaction between the tw o was also examined from conductance and surface tension measurements were two transitions, one below and one above the critical micelle con centration, CMC, of the surfactants were observed. A possible mechanis m for such an interaction is proposed.
