Abstract
Recent advantages in transgenic fish research are reviewed, with speci al reference to the methods for gene transfer. These include microinje ction, electroporation, particle bombardment, and lipofection. The suc cess and problems associated with each of these methods, and the possi ble applications of transgenic fish research to aquaculture are discus sed.
