Abstract
The reaction of [N(n-Bu)(4)][Os(N)Cl-4] or [PPh4][Ru(N)(OSiMe3)(4)] wi th benzenedithiolate produces the benzenedithiolate complexes [N(n-Bu) (4)][Os(N)(bdt)(2)] or [PPh4][Ru(N)(bdt)(2)]. A similar osmium(VI) com plex of 1,3-dithiol-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate was also prepared by react ion of [N(n-Bu)(4)](2)[Zn(dmit)(2)] with [N(n-Bu)(4)][Os(N)Cl-4]. Orga nometallic complexes of benzenedithiolate [K][Os(N)(CH2SiMe3)(2)(bdt)] , and 1,3-dithiol-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate [N(n-Bu)(4)][Os(N)(CH2SiMe3) (2)(dmit)] were prepared from [Os(N)(CH2SiMe3)(2)(NC5H5)(2)][BF4] and dithiolate salts.
