A. Szewczyk et al., INTERACTION OF SULFHYDRYL-REAGENTS WITH K+ TRANSPORT IN ADRENAL CHROMAFFIN GRANULES, Acta Neurobiologiae Experimentalis, 57(4), 1997, pp. 329-332
In the present study the functional role of SH groups in the Ca2+-inde
pendent K+-selective channel activity in the membrane of bovine adrena
l gland chromaffin granules has been studied. Ionic channel activity h
as been estimated using Rb-86(+), a K+ analogue, flux measurements. Th
e inhibition of chromaffin granules K+ channel by SH modifying agents,
such as N-ethylmaleimide, mersalyl and phenylarsenoxide, is described
.
