Abstract
A method for calculating the conversion relationship between measured digital correlation and true analogue correlation, for digital correla tors incorporating digital fringe rotation, is presented. Explicit exp ressions for the efficiency of correlators of this type are derived wh ich can be used to optimise correlator system parameters. Results are presented for four correlation schemes in common use.
