Abstract
In accordance to Prigogine-Wiame and phenomenological theories of onto genesis, a continuous decreasing of specific entropy production measur ed by the intensity of heat production or respiration takes place duri ng development, growth and aging. There are periods in the life of org anisms when reverse processes occur: (initial stages of oogenesis, reg eneration and malignant growth). The phenomenological theory of ontoge nesis demonstrates that physical bases of individual development are c haracterized by two thermodynamic principles: minimum energy dissipati on and fastest descent.
