Abstract
A new porous material, with a layer of alumina coated on NaY zeolite w ith no significant change in the zeolite pore size, was prepared by hy drolysis of aluminum isopropoxide. After supporting with KF or KNO3, t his new solid base exhibited a higher basic strength (H - = 17.2-18.4) than the parent zeolite (H - = 9.3). (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
