Abstract
TOPIC. An 18-month group-therapy experience with women partners of com bat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PURPOSE. TO d escribe the application of group process and feminist theory to the pl anning and development of a group of women partners of veterans with P TSD. SOURCE. The authors' clinical work. CONCLUSIONS. Using group psyc hotherapy theory and feminist theory, the group content and process in volved the themes of rescuing, dissociation, and individuation. The ex ploration of transference and countertransference were useful in facil itating individual as well as process.
